WELCOME TO RICHMOND TOWNSHIP IN ST. CROIX COUNTY

We are located here in Western Wisconsin and have the best of two worlds.  We have the close proximity of the St. Paul/Minneapolis metropolitan area, which is approximately 35 miles away and we also have the small town life in a rural community.  In 2008, we have an estimated population of 2,883 and an estimated 2,024 eligible voters. In the election just completed on Nov. 4, 2008, we had a total of 1,640 votes cast.  Richmond Township has been primarily an agricultural area, but that has changed over the past few years with numerous housing developments.

Richmond Township is governed by a 3 person town board, plus the clerk and treasurer.  In a decision made at the annual meeting in April of 2007, we will have a 5 person board beginning in April of 2009.

We are very proud also of our recycling center and invite your attention to that page.

To contact the town chairperson Warren Bader, call 715-246-5448.  The town clerk Donna Preece can be reached at 715-246-4092.  Election forms need to be mailed to Town Clerk, 1753 Margaret St. New Richmond, WI
