WELCOME TO RICHMOND TOWNSHIP IN ST. CROIX COUNTY

We are located here in Western Wisconsin and have the best of two worlds.  We have the close proximity of the St. Paul/Minneapolis metropolitan area, which is approximately 35 miles away and we also have the small town life in a rural community.  In 2011, our final estimated population is 3,286, with an estimated 1,922 eligible voters.  Richmond Township has been primarily an agricultural area, but that has changed over the past few years with numerous housing developments.

Richmond Township is governed by a 5 person town board, plus the clerk and treasurer. This change from a 3 person board took effect on April 14, 2009.

We are very proud also of our recycling center and invite your attention to that page.

To contact the town chairperson Todd Rehnelt, call 651-278-6077.  For information on animal control or fire warden/burning permits, call Mr. Rehnelt.

Building Permit Information is available from Dean Albert, building inspector, at 651-303-8641.

The town clerk, Donna Preece, can be reached at 715-246-4092.  Election forms need to be mailed to Town Clerk, 1753 Margaret St. New Richmond, WI

The 2011 Budget is located on Notice Page.

The latest photos are the work of Shawn Demulling and we thank him for his contribution to Town of Richmond.
